I am currently in Minneapolis and working as Technical Lead in Land O’ Lakes.

I haven’t skipped the order of the classes luckily, i.e.

I have been working from Java, J2ee -JSP, Servlets, Struts, Common Controls, BC4J, JSF then to Oracle world, ADF10g, ADF11g, Webcenter, Webcenter Spaces PS1, UCM10g, UCM 11g, Webcenter Spaces PS3, Webcenter Content 11g…. Just waiting to get upgraded possibly to PS5 soon.

In general I feels, the requirement pushes to go and find specific solution within the boundary of a framework and extending and purely custom.

I love working with ADF because it’s very advanced and flexible, recently when I tried a struts app, I felt the difference, it was slow development. Once you know where to customize, you will feel the framework is less restrictive and more boosting.

Even though Oracle have lot of documentation out there, integration and unique situations and solution techniques are still mastered with only experience. So hope I can share some and learn some from your questions and comments. Excited to know what the other part of the world is doing in this space.
